How does the tracker work?

Tracedwn connects to Apple's Find My network. Once added to the Find My app on your iPhone, your bike appears on the map — no separate app to download.

Do I need a subscription?

No. There are no subscriptions, SIM cards, or monthly fees, ever. You pay once for the device.

Does it work with Android?

Tracedwn uses the Apple Find My network, so location tracking requires an Apple device (iPhone, iPad). It is not compatible with Android at this time.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 12 months on a single charge. You'll get a low-battery notification in Find My when it's time to recharge or replace.

Is it really hidden?

Yes. The Reflector looks and functions like a standard rear reflector, and the Cage holds a real water bottle. The tracker is sealed out of sight, so it doesn't read as a tracking device to a thief.

How accurate is the location?

Location updates rely on nearby Apple devices in the Find My network, so accuracy is best in populated areas. In busy cities, location is typically very precise.

How do I install it?

Both models mount in about two minutes using the included hardware — the Reflector clamps to your seatpost, the Cage bolts to your frame's bottle-cage mounts.

What if my bike is stolen?

Open Find My, locate your bike, and share the location with local authorities. Tracedwn is a recovery aid and does not guarantee recovery.
